Short description
On the last day of the 2021 winter transfer window, Georginio Rutter moved from the top-tier French side FC Stade Rennes to TSG Hoffenheim. The striker initially signed a contract in Hoffenheim until June 2025, before signing an extension in January 2022 until summer 2026. "Georginio is a very athletic and dynamic striker, who also impresses with his determined style of play and finishing prowess," said Alexander Rosen, director of professional football at TSG. Rutter moved to Rennes in Brittany in 2017, where he initially lined up for the U19s before making his Ligue 1 debut in late September 2020. He immediately impressed at TSG, scoring after just three minutes in his first Bundesliga match.
