World Cup podium discussion cancelled

It is with a heavy heart that the TSG Hoffenheim Fan Coordinators have had to cancel the podium discussion on the Qatar World Cup on 13 December due to organisational reasons. Nina Reip (Head of the Office of the Sports & Politics Network for Fairness, Respect and Human Dignity at German Youth Sports), Dr. Sebastian Sons (Academic and Expert on the Arab Gulf States), Thomas Schmitz (Member of the TSG Hoffenheim Fan Council), Roland Vogel (Amnesty International Wiesloch) and Aidah (NGO Migrant Defenders) were set to gather at the Fan House at the PreZero Arena to discuss the topic "Can sport change something? Qatar, the World Cup and human rights." TSG Hoffenheim would like to apologise for the late-notice cancellation.

TSG first-team players resume training

The winter World Cup in Qatar means there are changes to the normal schedule this season. As a result, the players who were not selected for duty with their national teams went on their winter break in mid-November. But the TSG Hoffenheim squad are returning to the training ground this week, with coach André Breitenreiter set to prepare his players for the second half of the season up until 21 December. Following the Christmas period, the second phase of the winter preparations will begin on 2 January. Numerous training sessions have been pencilled in for this week many of which are open to the general public. The training week in Zuzenhausen will get under way on Tuesday at 15:00 CET. Additional dates and training times can be viewed here.
