Prömel: "A point is not enough given our ambitions"

Here's what the players and coaches said after TSG Hoffenheim's 1-1 draw at 1. FC Cologne.

Jacob Bruun Larsen: "We cannot be satisfied; we wanted to win here. But in the end, we have to live with the point. We were untidy, played too slowly and were a little lacking in conviction in our play with the ball. And Cologne defended well too. As a striker, it's of course amazing when you score a goal, but I would've preferred to win."

Grischa Prömel: "We had a huge chance to get the lucky punch, but it didn't work out. That's very, very frustrating. It wasn't a particularly good game from us today. We came here to get the three points. A point is not enough given our ambitions and our potential, so we cannot be satisfied. We were too ponderous in the first half, our positional play wasn't good, we were too sloppy, and we gave the ball away too easily. Cologne performed well today; we, unfortunately, did not."

André Breitenreiter (TSG Hoffenheim coach): "A draw is fair in the end. Cologne only had a little time to recover, big respect for that. We were missing precision from our final ball; our build-up play was far too slow, too ponderous. Both teams had chances to decide the match."

Steffen Baumgart (1. FC Cologne coach): "It was a great energetic performance from my team. We sat slightly deeper today but played with a very high intensity. We're very satisfied with the point and got the reward for our effort. It's also a fair result in my eyes. We did of course get lucky that TSG didn't get the goal in that final situation."
