Baumann to the rescue
The first good opportunity for Bayern: Gnabry cuts into the box and shoots, but Baumann gets down quickly and makes a strong save.
Gnabry goes close
Musiala dribbles into the penalty area and squares for the unmarked Gnabry on the edge of the six-yard box but he gets there a tad too late and misses the ball.
Musiala puts Bayern in front
Kimmich plays the corner into the box and finds Goretzka. His headed flick-on towards the back post finds Musiala, who is completely free and fires home.
Oli & Akpo intervene
Triple chance for Bayern: Choupo-Moting asserts himself and tees up Goretzka, who fails to beat Baumann from close range. The ball rebounds to Coman, whose header is cleared off the goal-line by Akpoguma. Baumann is then able to keep out the third effort.
Ulreich saves from Georginio
TSG relieve the pressure somewhat and create a chance for themselves. Georginio is played in by Geiger. The Frenchman gets the better of his countryman Upamecano in the penalty area and goes for goal, but Ulreich is on hand and makes the save.
Choupo-Moting doubles lead
After winning the ball in midfield, Goretzka carries it forward. The midfielder picks out Choupo-Moting, who plays it out towards Gnabry. The former TSG player completes the one-two with a cross low into the box and Choupo-Moting slots home for 2-0.
TSG miss chance to pull one back
Huge opportunity for Hoffe: after turning over possession, Georginio and Prömel go up against De Ligt in a two-on-one situation. Georginio goes direct himself and shoots, only for Ulreich to claw the ball away to safety.
The next big chance for TSG
Ulreich makes another stop to deny TSG. Prömel latches on to an outstanding pass and gets a shot away in the penalty area, but the Bayern goalkeeper shows lightning quick reactions and keeps it out.
Georginio goes agonisingly close
TSG combine nicely down the left. Angelino crosses the ball into the box but Georginio's header flies narrowly wide of the mark.
Thwarted by Upamecano
Another good opportunity for TSG: Kramaric feeds Kaderabek in the penalty area but Upamecano clears his cross and thwarts the danger.
