TSG prematurely extend Asllani's contract

Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim have prematurely extended the contract of striker Fisnik Asllani by two years until 30 June 2026. The 20-year-old Germany youth international has been with the Kraichgau outfit since summer 2020 and has been a firm fixture in TSG's senior squad since January last season.

"Fisnik possesses talent, a goalscoring threat and a physical presence – together, these qualities make for a highly interesting striker profile in the style of a classic No. 9," said TSG director of football Alexander Rosen, who went on to add: "Fisnik is another excellent example of our approach of identifying talented youngsters and developing them with care. In addition, he has already had to overcome some obstacles in the form of injuries in his fledgling career and has not let his head drop for a minute. His current performances for our U23s underline how strongly he has fought his way back, and he is showing week-in, week-out in first-team training that he can be a real alternative option in the future."

Asllani debuted for TSG in the Bundesliga in November 2021 and has made two brief appearances to date. He has already notched six goals and two assists on top of that in the Regionalliga Südwest this season. A few days ago, he made his debut for the Germany U20 national team and promptly scored his first goal in that match against Poland.
