Kramarić: ''We played some good football''

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the 4-1 win over 1. FSV Mainz 05.

Christoph Baumgartner: ''We struggled a bit in the first half. The red card for Mainz was obviously a turning point, but then we did a good job of capitalising on it and putting them at a disadvantage. The opening goal made things easier for us, and we were able to show our quality. Next week, we want to be switched on from the start against Freiburg. We are in great shape, we've already demonstrated that a few times this season.''

Robert Skov: ''I think we deserved to win. Of course, the red card for Mainz changed the game. We did well to take advantage of it. The early stages were very unsettled. We didn't manage to play the way we wanted, and Mainz were impressive. We have a very good atmosphere within the squad. I feel really happy just now.''

Andrej Kramarić: ''I'm happy that I was able to contribute a goal after missing the penalty. The most important thing is that we won. Scoring the goal was more challenging than the penalty, but the main thing is I managed to get the ball in the back of the net. After Mainz's chances in the opening stages, it did us good to take the lead early in the second half. We played some good football with the one-man advantage.''

André Breitenreiter: ''It was the tough game we expected. Mainz showed exactly what makes them such a good team. We were lucky not to fall behind in the early stages. Things picked up from the 20th minute onwards. That's when we were able to get in behind them. I can only compliment my team for the way they played after the red card. It's by no means a given that you play so well with a one-man advantage. That was really good. We didn't give away anything and scored some beautiful goals.''

Bo Svensson (1. FSV Mainz 05 coach): ''The game had two distinct phases. Before the red card, it was even. First we should have taken the lead, then Hoffenheim had a few good chances of their own. After that, the sending-off changed the game. I was very satisfied until then. That's why Hoffenheim won in the end.''
