Sunday

Another last-16 tie against Leverkusen

The opponent for the women's DFB-Pokal round of 16 has been announced: TSG will host league rivals Bayer 04 Leverkusen in mid-November (19th, 20th or 21st). The two Bundesliga clubs already went head-to-head in the round of 16 last season, with the Werkself coming out of that match on top following a penalty shootout.

Thursday

U23 home game against Trier to be postponed and rescheduled

The U23s' match against Eintracht Trier, which was originally scheduled for 24 September, has been postponed and will be played another day. The postponement is down to the fact that Germany's youth teams have called up several members of the TSG squad (under 21 years) who have played in at least 50% of the league matches contested by Hoffenheim's reserve team this season, according to a statement by the Regionalliga Südwest. A new date has not yet been set.

Asllani & Conté called up for the U20 national team

The U20 German national team will kick off the international season with two TSG Hoffenheim players. DFB boss Hannes Wolf has named his squad from the 2002 and 2003 year groups for the upcoming games against Poland in Unterhaching (23 September) and away to Romania (26 September). The TSG Hoffenheim duo of forward Fisnik Asllani, 20, and midfielder Bambasé Conté, 19, have both been called up. Asllani last played for the Germany U18s in December 2019, while Conté last played for the Germany U16s in October 2018.

Damar, Quarshie & Tohumcu in DFB U19 squad

Three TSG Hoffenheim players have been called up by the U19 national team for the upcoming EURO qualifiers. Coach Guido Streichsbier has named the TSG trio of midfielder Muhammed Damar, 18, defender Joshua Quarshie, 18, and midfielder Umut Tohumcu, 18, in the 19-man squad for the mini-tournament involving games against Armenia (21 September in Gifhorn), Belarus (24 September in Braunschweig) and Slovakia (27 September in Braunschweig). The top two teams in the group will go into the second EURO qualifying round, which will be held in March 2023.

Countless registrations at DKMS campaign

The blood-typing campaign organised by TSG's active fan scene to help in the fight against blood cancer was a complete success, says the DKMS. A great number of spectators at the match against 1. FSV Mainz 05 registered and provided a cheek swab. Every stadium attendee between the ages of 17 and 55 had the opportunity to be typed free of charge and without any commitment.

"We are totally satisfied. Thanks go to TSG for their fantastic organisation, everyone put their heart and soul into it," says Ashvini Pathmanathan from the DKMS, adding: "And of course a big thank you to everyone who registered to help others.''

Andrej Kramarić named Croatia's most popular sportsperson

TSG striker Andrej Kramarić has been named the most popular Croatian sportsperson not living in the country. The vote, organised by the largest Croatian daily newspaper "Večernji List" and the news portal "Fenix Magazine", crowned Kramarić the winner of the award for the fourth time. This brings him level with Ivan Rakitić, who has also won four times. The prize was presented by Croatia's Consul General Ivan Sablić.

Congratulations, Andrej!

Prömel & Georginio make Team of the Round

TSG's convincing performance against 1. FSV Mainz 05, especially in the second half, has been acknowledged by various media outlets. The ARD-Sportschau nominated Georginio in their Matchday 6 XI, while "kicker" and BILD newspaper selected Grischa Prömel in their teams. Georginio set up the opening goal and posed a constant threat with his dribbling runs. Prömel was not only the player that covered the most kilometres; he also saw his hard-working performance rewarded with his first Bundesliga goal for TSG.
