TSG in Kitz: Hoffenheim reach two-million users in a week

Experience training camp up close. This wasn't just true for the many TSG fans who travelled with the team to Kitzbühel last week; those who stayed at home also got exciting daily insights behind the scenes of the Bundesliga team. From the hotel, the training ground, the HOFFEXPRESS or the fan festival, the TSG media department were recording almost around the clock in a quality and quantity never seen before. In some cases, the editors took the fans into the players' rooms with videos, photos and reports. TSG notched up over two-million digital views in seven days.

While the coaching team led by head coach André Breitenreiter was intensively preparing the team for the upcoming season, the ten-person media crew, who stayed together with the players at the Hotel Kitzhof, provided the fans with a coveted look "behind the scenes". The team gathered facts, published news, shot entertaining videos and took countless photos.

At the same time, partners and sponsors are increasingly interested in promoting their presence on the numerous international social media channels. Two-million views of TSG content from the few days in Kitzbühel confirm an enormous reach.

"Zamme simma Hoffe (Together we are Hoffe) is our motto this season. We want to share emotional moments with the fans again after the long period of social distancing," says Holger Kliem, head of media and public relations, going on to add: "That's obviously easiest when we're playing games in the stadium. But of course, during the rest of the time we want to take all those with a passion for Hoffenheim into the heart of our club via our channels, to inform and entertain them. Whenever fans want to learn something about TSG, we are there for them with our services."

During the seven days in Kitzbühel, TSG published around 175 tweets, over 100 Insta-Stories and around 30 Instagram posts, a good 80 posts on Facebook and almost 30 videos on TikTok and YouTube, plus new information on the homepage every day. Both friendly matches in Austria were streamed live online by TSG.TV. And needless to say, coverage of the Hoffenheim women's teams and the academy continued on all channels at the same time.

TSG Hoffenheim reach a peak of 15million users per month via its 20 or so digital channels. Content is published in German, English, Chinese and Portuguese. Other audiences can also be addressed in their native tongue, and TSG use a large network of interpreters around the world to do so.
