#TSGSCF: Beware of the aerial threat

TSG Hoffenheim will host SC Freiburg in the Bundesliga match of the round on Saturday (18:30 CET / Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de) and will be hoping to use the Baden derby as a springboard. The men from Breisgau have had a great season and are currently six points clear of Hoffenheim in fifth spot. TSG should be especially wary when it comes to set-pieces and crosses. tsg-hoffenheim has all the important facts and figures on #TSGSCF below.

Did you know that…

…TSG tend to struggle at home to Freiburg?

TSG supporters will not have fond memories of their last three home games against Freiburg at the PreZero Arena: Sport-Club have won all three meetings  Hoffenheim's longest ongoing home losing streak against any club.

…Freiburg have a strong record in top matches?

SC might not have played in the 18:30 CET slot on a Saturday evening since February 2017, but their record under coach Christian Streich is an impressive one: they have won three and not lost any of their six top matches under the 56-year-old.

…TSG fare well when they go behind?

TSG took a point against Eintracht Frankfurt despite coach Sebastian Hoeness and his charges having found themselves 2-1 down. The leveller for 2-2 was the 22nd point taken from losing positions – a league high. Meanwhile, Freiburg have taken only four points from losing positions and have the second-worst record in this category.

…Freiburg are extremely strong in the air?

Philipp Lienhart's goal for 3-2 against Borussia Mönchengladbach last weekend was the 15th time the Breisgau outfit have scored from a header – a league high. TSG, meanwhile, have conceded 26% of their goals from headers. That is also the highest value in the league.
