Baumgartner: "We are disappointed"

Here’s what the players and coaches had to say after TSG Hoffenheim's 0-0 draw with Greuther Fürth:

Christoph Baumgartner: "It was a difficult game, as expected. It was clear to us that we would not blow Fürth away. But we are currently going through a phase where we are having some difficulties. We are not showing our quality on the pitch at the moment. Unfortunately, we didn't manage to get the ball into the net. We are disappointed. We are now back in the hunter role, and we still want to attack in the coming weeks. We have to keep going and look forward. At the moment, the ball is simply not falling at our feet – we are having to work hard."

Sebastian Hoeness: "0-0 is not good enough. We are very disappointed about the result. We did far too little in the final third. We had enough promising chances to score a goal. The team did a lot of running, but we are currently lacking conviction and determination. In games like this, you have to really force that 1-0 though sometimes. Now we have to keep going. Next week, we want to make up for this with a victory to put ourselves back in a better position."

Stefan Leitl (SpVgg Greuther Fürth coach): "Overall, I'm pleased. We kept a clean sheet and have come away with a point. In my view, the draw was not undeserved either. There weren't many big chances. We had some problems with the depth of our defensive line in the opening stages. However, we were much better after we made a change. We wanted to be very compact and therefore didn't create many chances."
