Baumgartner: "It was insufficient"

Christoph Baumgartner: "It was very tough today. We ruined our own game plan within five minutes. Our plan was to be compact and cause danger ourselves. Unfortunately, we then conceded another goal from a set-piece. That's too simple. The loss of possession in the centre in the build-up to the second goal cannot happen either. After that it gets enormously difficult in Leipzig. It was insufficient across all areas of the team today. There was obviously a low mood in the dressing room. We need to become cleverer quickly and play with more maturity. If we want to stay towards the top and in the running for the international spots, we have to win against Fürth next week."

Ihlas Bebou: "We gave the game away in the first half. We weren't good enough off the ball and we didn't have enough control. We knew what it would come down to today, but we have to perform differently. It was not enough today. We'd all hoped for more and have to show a different side to ourselves next week."

Sebastian Hoeness: "The first goal, which we conceded via a set-piece, and the second goal, which stemmed from a loss of possession, cost us the game today. We cannot allow that to happen to us. At that point, everything we'd talked about before was no longer valid. Then it became all about getting back into the game. I saw one or two ball recoveries, but we obviously didn't create enough danger. Unfortunately, we couldn't keep it at 2-0 until the break. A number of important players were missing today. Leipzig played like a team on a run. It was a sobering day, but we kept on fighting. I know we've recognised the signals. There are still five games to play, we're currently sixth - and it's there, among the Bundesliga's top six, that we want to stay."

Domenico Tedesco (RB Leipzig coach): "It was a good performance from the beginning. We immediately pressed hard and won the ball back a lot. I really liked the venom we showed to win the ball. We withdrew a bit in the second half. I'm especially happy that Marcel Halstenberg scored today. He has had a tough time."
