Mentally strong Frankfurt

TSG supporters will not have fond memories of recent meetings with Eintracht Frankfurt. It has been more than four years since Hoffenheim beat the Eagles. When they meet on Saturday (15:30 CET / Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de), TSG will need to be especially alert in stoppage time. Ahead of the clash with the men from Hesse, we have compiled all the important facts and figures on #TSGSGE below.

Did you know that…

…Frankfurt are very dangerous in the closing stages?

Coach Oliver Glasner's charges have been leaving it late to score the decisive goals recently. Eintracht have found the net in stoppage time in five of their last six Bundesliga matches, goals which secured them an additional eight points.

…TSG have been waiting for a win against Frankfurt for four and a half years?

The last six meetings have all been won by the men from Hesse. Hoffenheim's last victory against Eintracht came more than four years ago: on 30 April 2017, TSG ran out 1-0 winners thanks a Benjamin Hübner goal.

...Hoffenheim could extend a positive run?

TSG have won each of their last five home games at the PreZero Arena. Should Sebastian Hoeness' team keep a clean sheet in this one, Hoffenheim would also set a club record (five Bundesliga home games without conceding a goal).

…the two hardest-working crossers are set to go head-to-head?

Hoffenheim's David Raum has already made 68 crosses in the Bundesliga this season. The only player to have done so more often will be on the opposing team on Saturday: Filip Kostic has already made 84 crosses this term.
