TSG fan council starts second legislative period

TSG Hoffenheim's fan council began its second legislative period on 19 October 2021 with its inaugural meeting. Dr Jan Mayer, who has chaired the fan council since his appointment to the management board, Denni Strich, who is responsible for sales, marketing, and communications in his role as managing director, and Carsten Lindwurm and Philipp Krauß from fan support welcomed all of the TSG supporter representatives in attendance.

In addition to the familiar names going into their second period on the fan council, new faces were also elected to the board on the election evening of the official fan clubs. There were also delegates from the fan association "Supporters Hoffenheim," the chant leaders, and two members of the active groups.

The meeting was used to get to know each other, and to exchange their first ideas surrounding current important topics. On top of the major issues regarding the situation with spectators and the standard corona discussions, many voices emerged that wanted to talk about the issue of "strengthening the fan community."

Questions also arose about Dietmar Hopp's involvement in Brazil and Portugal. Jan Mayer and Denni Strich were willing to open discussions about this and announced a separate meeting for the fan council.

In his review of the previous legislative period, Carsten Lindwurm, head of the TSG fan support, described the past work of the fan council and emphasised the need to continue along the same path and further strengthen dialogue. "The fan council is a representative cross-section of our fans in the stadium. It is important to approach each other and get to know each other's views. This gives us the opportunity to work together towards common goals," said Lindwurm.

"We are looking forward to the continued dialogue with our fans and see this as an important component in the discussion of fan-related issues," said Jan Mayer in his greeting at the beginning of the evening. Denni Strich is also looking forward to speaking with the TSG fans and placed a special emphasis on the building up of fan involvement after the long break due to corona.
