Gollnack arrives, Strompf and Borković depart

On the last day of the window period, there were changes to the U23. ''Hoffe zwo'' have a new attacker in the form of 19-year-old Simon Gollnack. Defender Philipp Strompf, on the other hand, will leave TSG and join Eintracht Braunschweig. Alexandar Borković is also no longer part of the U23 squad. The Austrian is going on loan to Sturm Graz in his home country.

Gollnack joins from the youth set-up of Dynamo Dresden. The striker was drafted into the Saxons' first-team squad as an U19 player. In the second half of last season, Gollnack was loaned out to the Czech second division club FK Usti nad Labem, for whom he played twelve games and scored one goal.

Strompf leaves TSG after three years in which he played 59 Regionalliga matches for "Hoffe zwo" and scored two goals. The 23-year-old is moving to 3. Liga club Eintracht Braunschweig. Borković, who came to TSG from Austria Wien a year ago, is also leaving the U23s, albeit temporarily. Injuries meant the central defender only made four appearances in the Regionalliga Südwest last season. Now the 22-year-old is returning to his home country, where he will play for Austrian Bundesliga club Sturm Graz for the next two years.
