Impressive numbers

With the away match at FC Augsburg on Saturday (15:30 CET, live ticker on tsg-hoffenheim.de), TSG Hoffenheim will kick off what is already their 14th season in the Bundesliga. In more than 13 years of Bundesliga football, some interesting statistics have emerged from the Kraichgau. Ahead of Matchday 1, we look at the most important stats, facts and figures for the 2021/22 season.

442 games played by TSG to date in Germany's top division. Hoffenheim have won 157 games, 129 matches ended in draw and TSG have lost 156 games. The aggregate goals record stands at 705-678.

600 is the impressive points total coach Sebastian Hoeness' team reached in the club's history with the 2-1 victory over Hertha Berlin on Matchday 34 last season.  

62 points managed by Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga in the 2016/17 season – the best return in the club's history to date and enough to secure fourth place and Champions League qualification.   

17 consecutive games unbeaten for TSG Hoffenheim in the 2016/17 season from Matchday 1 to 17.   Never before has the club gone more consecutive games without defeat in the Bundesliga.  

24 clubs are still ahead of TSG Hoffenheim in the all-time Bundesliga table. Two of TSG's current Bundesliga rivals are ranked 24th and 23rd respectively in Arminia Bielefeld and FSV Mainz 05. Arminia are 33 points ahead of TSG, while the gap to Mainz 05 stands at 36 points. 

2794 Bundesliga matches played in total by players in the Hoffenheim squad for the 2021/22 season. Oliver Baumann is the player with the most appearances in Germany's top tier (360), while Andrej Kramarić has scored 82 goals – the most of all active TSG players.

1.94 metres is the height of Kevin Vogt, making him the tallest player in the current TSG squad. Meanwhile, the smallest player, standing at 1.73 m, is Dennis Geiger, who is also the lightest member of the first team squad at 65 kg. Captain Benjamin Hübner is the club's heaviest player at 86 kg. 36-year-old Philipp Pentke is the oldest player in the squad, while Maximilian Beier is the youngest at the age of 18.

19 international players are currently in TSG's 33-man squad. Croat Andrej Kramarić has the most caps and goals for his national team (14 goals in 58 caps).

17 different nations are represented in the TSG squad. Eleven players come from Germany, three from Austria and two each from the Netherlands and Denmark.
