Yoga & fans – Successful start at the Tegernsee

TSG Hoffenheim have been at their Tegernsee training camp since Saturday evening as they continue preparations for the 2021/22 season. As well as training sessions, they will also play a friendly match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth in Upper Bavaria during the week.

Yoga to begin with: TSG Hoffenheim have arrived in Rottach-Egern on Lake Tegernsee and started their training camp preparations with a light training session on Sunday (18 July). Proceedings kicked off in the afternoon with a yoga session with instructor Young-Sun Cho. Having played against 1. FC Heidenheim (1-0 defeat) the day before, the majority of the players were focusing on regeneration before they commence working with the ball on Monday.

"We have incredible conditions here. It doesn't get much better than this. We want to use this week to bond as a group and develop a spirit. It will also be a matter of cementing our philosophy and laying a foundation for the season in terms of fitness," said coach Sebastian Hoeness after the first training session.

The team received support on Sunday from around 50 supporters who had traveled from Sinsheim as part of a fan trip. "Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate today, so I'm very sorry for the fans. But it feels good to finally have fans with us again. The prospect of spectators in stadiums is a motivation for us all," Hoeness added.

TSG Hoffenheim will continue their preparations for the 2021/22 season in Rottach-Egern on Lake Tegernsee until Saturday (July 24). They will round off the training camp with a friendly against newly promoted SpVgg Greuther Fürth. The team will face the Bundesliga newcomers on Saturday.
