Us with you: TSG to open the season with friendly against Stade de Reims

TSG Hoffenheim's preparations for the new season have been in full swing since last Sunday. The best news at the moment? After a long period of Covid-enforced absence, it's become clear that fans will be allowed back into stadiums in Germany. This means you'll be able to join us to celebrate the start of the new season with a friendly match against exciting opponents from the French Ligue 1 at the ''Season opening, presented by PreZero'' on 31 July (15:30 CET).

One week before starting the season away to Viktoria Cologne in the DFB-Pokal, TSG will welcome fans to the PreZero Arena for a friendly match against French top-tier side Stade de Reims. The visitors from the north of France are one of the country's historic clubs. The team captained by Serbia goalkeeper Predrag Rajković finished 14th in last season's Ligue 1.

All details on the season opening and the sale of tickets will be announced next week on our digital channels. TSG will face Reims again on 1 August, this time in a friendly match behind closed doors.

What is more, a further friendly match has been arranged for the club's training camp at Lake Tegernsee (18 to 25 July). TSG will face newly-promoted Bundesliga rivals SpVgg Greuther Fürth on Saturday 24 July. However, following discussions with the organisers in Rottach-Egern, the match will have to be held behind closed doors.

TSG Hoffenheim will play their first friendly match of preseason against second-tier outfit 1. FC Heidenheim on 17 July (13:30 CET).
