The TSG scorigami

In the NFL (National Football League), when a team records a result that they have never achieved before, American football fans call it a "scorigami". The term was invented by sports journalist Jon Bois and is all the rage in the USA. Every week, almost 200,000 followers of the Twitter channel are hoping for a new result.

As there are significantly more opportunities to score points in American football than in association football, new results come up all the time. In the past season alone, there were twelve "scorigamis". Meanwhile, in TSG's 442 Bundesliga matches, there have been "only" 39 different results. Hoffenheim fans last experienced new combinations of goals in the 6-0 win against 1. FC Cologne (31 March 2018) and the 0-6 defeat to Bayern Munich (29 February 2020).

Incidentally, TSG's most common result is 1-1. Some 64 games involving Hoffenheim have already ended with both teams scoring one goal. With the 2-1 victory over Hertha Berlin in the final game of last season, TSG Hoffenheim's overall record in the Bundesliga is positive again, with 157 wins, 129 draws and 156 defeats.
