"A special team spirit" – Fan evening with Alexander Rosen

On Thursday evening, Alexander Rosen offered 50 members of around 30 TSG Hoffenheim fan clubs an exclusive insight into the club's planning and gave them cause to be optimistic ahead of the new season. The official TSG fan club meeting, which head coach Sebastian Hoeness has also attended in recent months, was not held via video link on this occasion, with the participants instead gathering together in the stands at the PreZero Arena. Everyone was understandably delighted to return to the stadium after the long corona break.

Carsten Lindwurm, who oversaw the evening as Head of the Fan Department, also revealed another important piece of information. "We're currently planning, based on the requirements, to have a 50% capacity from the start of the season and hope to be able to publish the details regarding ticket sales as soon as possible following a consultation with the authorities," Lindwurm said.

TSG's director of football Alexander Rosen then spent a good hour and a half readily sharing information about the status of the sporting plans. But above all, it was clear how happy the 42-year-old was about fans returning to the stadium that evening and for future TSG home games as well. "I'm glad to be here with you, because we've all sorely missed seeing each other in person recently." Corona, he said, had been "a big challenge for all of us over the past year and a half," adding: "But we're very proud that we've dealt with it so well despite all the uncertainties, and now we want to go back on the attack with you by our side."

The director answered the many questions posed by the fans openly and in detail, and shared his personal impression of the first weeks of training. "The team and the coaching staff are already raring to go for the upcoming season and are working every day with focus, concentration and great energy." He also addressed supporters' worries about the possible departure of record goalscorer Andrej Kramarić. "If Andrej is concerned about his future, you can't be angry with him. He has done incredible things for TSG here. He is well aware of what he has here, and he feels extremely comfortable at TSG."

The same goes for Sebastian Rudy, who has now been resigned from FC Schalke 04 on a permanent deal following his loan spell. "Basti is a player with an enormous amount of international experience. He now not only has a role with us on the pitch, but also in the dressing room, and he is very important for the young players in particular. He has completely internalised the TSG DNA in his many years with us. Like Sead Salihovic or Kai Herdling, for example, who are now successfully developing our talents from the academy as coaches with the U23s."

Rosen concluded the evening by looking ahead with confidence to the new season. "There is a special spirit in the team, especially due to the challenges of last season, and I can sense at every training session that there's huge motivation."
