Kramarić: "I had goosebumps"

Here's what the players and coaches had to say after the last-minute win against Hertha BSC.

Kevin Vogt: "We play football to win. The game itself is fun, but you have the most fun when you win. I think you could see today that we wanted to win. Which makes it all the better that we got there in the end."

Andrej Kramarić: "I'm super happy, 20 goals in a season is a great number. I'm personally very happy with my season. I could've only been happier if I'd stayed healthy for the whole season. It's obviously a shame no fans could come to the stadium this season. I got goosebumps when I saw the fans welcoming us before the game. Playing in front of 30,000 or 40,000 supporters is what football needs. I really hope it's possible again next season."

Robert Skov: "It's obviously always amazing to end the season with a victory. We have gone unbeaten in our last seven matches. We want to build on these performances again next season. The season was a rollercoaster ride for us, very exhausting. Hopefully we'll have fans back in the stadium next season. We're looking forward to that."

Sebastian Hoeness: "The match today was a reflection of our season. We approached the game well in the first half but fell behind. In the second half, however, the team showed that they absolutely wanted to win, even though there wasn't really much at stake. That speaks volumes for us as a team. I'm proud of that. We've gone through difficult times; it's been an unbelievably challenging season. We obviously had different objectives before the season, but you also have to be satisfied with 11th place given these unique circumstances. We finished seventh in the table for the second half of the season; we'll keep that in mind over the break. I'm optimistic we'll be on the front foot again next season after getting a good pre-season under our belts."

Pal Dardai (Hertha BSC coach): "It wasn't an easy match for us. The lads performed well in the first half and played with focus; but we didn't take advantage of our counter-attacking situations after the break. Hoffenheim were really pushing in the closing stages and ultimately deserved to win. That said, I'm proud of my team for keeping our place in the division."
