United against blood cancer

Every 15 minutes, a person in Germany receives the devastating diagnosis of blood cancer - among them many children and young people whose only chance of a cure is through a stem cell donation. This situation has been exacerbated by the current Coronavirus pandemic: the typing campaigns that are regularly held during major events are not possible at the moment, meaning registrations have plummeted across Germany.

That's why TSG Hoffenheim, together with 21 other football clubs from the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, would like to use the platform of professional football in Germany to promote the fight against blood cancer. We would like to highlight the stories of each and every blood cancer patient and make an appeal to you:

Become a stem-cell donor!

Registration is easy and free of charge: you can order your registration set from the DKMS (German Bone Marrow Donor Centre) here. Use the supplied cotton swabs to take a swab from your cheek mucosa and send it back to the DKMS together with a completed consent form. Your examination results are stored and are available anonymously for the worldwide patient search.

You can find more information about health exclusion criteria, registration and stem cell donation here
