Kadeřábek: "I'm proud of the team"

Christoph Baumgartner: "The past few days have been very nice for me with my contract extension and my goal. I'm obviously very happy. I connected with the ball very well for my goal, but it was also a super assist. We've already said in the past few weeks that we're starting better and better. There are still several matches to play. We'll keep working calmly and see what's possible. I'm confident we can still pick up several points. We'll keep our foot on the gas."

Ihlas Bebou: "We produced a good performance in the opening half. In the second half, we were no longer precise enough and created too few goalscoring chances for ourselves. We have a lot of quality in the team; we wanted to show that on the pitch today. We want to build on that in the coming weeks."

Pavel Kadeřábek: "I'm very proud of the team. We played very well in the first half and got our reward in the form of two goals. It was then difficult in the second half. We sat very deep and defended well. We're all very satisfied with the result. I hope it continues in this vein."

Florian Grillitsch: "We played a really good game today; we defended well at the back, especially in the second half, and finished off our attacks well up top. In the second half, we should've used our chances to switch the play better. Beating VfL Wolfsburg, the best team in the second half of the season, deserves respect. We produced a really good performance. The games have often not gone in our favour in the past, plus there have been injuries and corona cases, but now you can see that when we have the same line-up week-in week-out, our processes work better and we play better football."

Sebastian Hoeness: "I'm absolutely delighted about the game. We made a very good start and caused Wolfsburg a few problems. It was then a hard fight in the second half. We didn't see through our counter-attacking situations well, but Wolfsburg also showed what class they have. We're on a good path at the moment. We got the rub of the green today."

Oliver Glasner (VfL Wolfsburg coach): "The lads all fought hard to avoid defeat. It was one-way traffic in the second half. We're obviously disappointed that we couldn't get the equaliser. Rather than acting, we were reacting too much in the first half. We were still processing the cup game in Leipzig. The second half gives me courage for the coming weeks."
