Baumgartner: "We need to perform for the full 90 minutes"

TSG Hoffenheim will be bidding to reach the last 16 of the UEFA Europa League when they take on Molde FK in the Round of 32 return leg on Thursday (18:55 CET). Prior to facing the Norwegians, Christoph Baumgartner gave an interview to tsg-hoffenheim.de in which he spoke about the opposition, the first leg and possibly reaching the next round.

Christoph, the Round of 32 return leg against Molde is coming up on Thursday. What will it come down to?

"We'll try to swing the game in our favour. We'll need to perform for the full 90 minutes this time and we cannot let up at any point. I'm confident that we'll manage that successfully and get through to the next round."

You led 3-1 in the first leg but it ended 3-3. What lessons did you learn from the match?

"It's not enough to only play well for 60 minutes. If our performance levels drop off by even just one percent and we run one metre less, that will be immediately punished in the Europa League. We'll also need to be clever on Thursday and cannot allow ourselves to get unnerved."

How do you assess Molde as opponents?

"They're a very strong footballing side, both on an individual level and as a collective. You could see that last week. But we've also noticed that we have greater quality in our squad. If we show that on the pitch in the return leg, then we'll reach the next round."
