Baumann: "It's inexplicable"

Oliver Baumann: "I'm at a loss for words to explain how we didn't go through after the two games. We were clearly better in the first match. And we also gave everything today and created lots of chances. The fact that we've been eliminated is inexplicable. I have the feeling it wasn't meant to be today."

Florian Grillitsch: "It's very disappointing; we'd envisaged it differently. It's absolute crazy when you're so dominant and it feels like you have 90% possession, yet you can't turn that into a goal. I believe that today there were too many instances in the penalty box where we did not act, but instead only reacted. Our finishing wasn't right and the last few percent was missing. With all due respect to Molde, we shouldn't have been knocked out here. It was a huge opportunity that we didn't take."

Sebastian Hoeness: "We've missed out on a historic opportunity. We absolutely wanted to go through and keep making history in European competition. The way it happened is very bitter. We performed well for long spells but didn't take advantage of our clear chances. We were punished for that ruthlessly. That's why we were knocked out. The first leg was obviously hanging over us, but we had 90 minutes today to go through."
