Baumann: "There was more in it for us"

Oliver Baumann: "We had our chances right at the beginning. But then Bayern had two opportunities and scored a goal from each of them. The third goal we conceded was very frustrating. We still had good chances even after that, but we couldn't get the second goal today. When we watch the video of the game tomorrow, we'll come away with the feeling that there was more in it for us."

Christoph Baumgartner: "It's a very bitter result for us. We had good chances, especially at the start. You need to take the lead against Bayern in those moments. We made a good start to the second half too. I should've scored the equaliser. Bayern have enormous quality. They deserve their place right at the top. That said, we could've still taken something. But for that to happen, you need to get the rub of the green."

Kasim Adams: "We produced a good performance. Bayern have a lot of quality, especially up front. It was very challenging for us. We had chances ourselves, particularly in the first half, but we didn't take them. You need to take such chances if you're going to get anything in Munich."

Sebastian Hoeness: "Congratulations to FC Bayern. We made a very good start to the game and played with courage. We had two very good goalscoring chances through Ihlas Bebou that we might have scored. We did well to keep Bayern away from our goal, but we then went 1-0 down from an unnecessary corner. For me, 2-1 was not an accurate scoreline after the first half. We had two chances to level the scores in the minutes after the restart, but instead we fell 3-1 behind. Once it became 4-1, it felt like the game was over."

Hansi Flick (FC Bayern Munich coach): "We're used to seeing both teams try to play football. Manuel Neuer made good saves, especially in the first half. We're very happy with the result. I saw a good performance from my team, but it wasn't all perfect. We have now won four matches in succession. After the two defeats, we said to ourselves that we wanted to get back on track. We've managed that and that's what sets a good team apart."
