Andrej Kramarić in "kicker Team of the First Half-Season"

With 10 goals and two assists, Andrej Kramarić has enjoyed his best-ever first half of a Bundesliga campaign in a TSG Hoffenheim shirt. The Croatia international's good performances have now been acknowledged by the football magazine "kicker". With an average "kicker" rating of 2.65 points across his 13 league appearances, the TSG forward is one of the best 11 players in the entire division.

Andrej Kramarić started the 2020/21 season with six goals in three games, before catching the coronavirus and missing several weeks of action. In his most recent outing – the 3-0 win at Hertha BSC – the 29-year-old replicated his outstanding performance level from the start of the season and bagged a brace.

No operation needed for Vogt

Defender Kevin Vogt suffered a capsular tendon injury in his left shoulder in the 3-0 away victory over Hertha BSC. He does not require an operation, but he is a doubt for the game against 1. FC Cologne on Sunday.

The 29-year-old was substituted off and replaced by Håvard Nordtveit in the 61st minute, after landing on his shoulder following an aerial challenge. Vogt had previously sustained a capsular ligament injury in his left thumb during the 0-0 draw with Arminia Bielefeld.

Kramarić and Baumgartner make Team of the Round

Doubly good news for TSG Hoffenheim: Andrej Kramarić and Christoph Baumgartner were nominated for the Team of the Round following their performances in the 3-0 win at Hertha BSC. The Croat made the teams chosen by "kicker" magazine and ARD-Sportschau, while Baumgartner was nominated for the Sportschau XI. "kicker" went a step further and named Kramarić Player of the Round, describing the 29-year-old's performance as follows: "His celebration showed how much Andrej Kramarić has been longing for moments of triumph like this. The Hoffenheim striker had been suffering from the effects of a COVID-19 infection and had only scored one goal in his previous eight league games. In Berlin, the 29-year-old was back to his usual self in front of goal and notched his ninth and 10th goals of the season. Both of which were spectacular."
