Grillitsch: "We're ecstatic"

Sebastian Rudy: "We're obviously very relieved that our winless run is over. We produced a very good performance and created a series of chances. Then Augsburg levelled the scores at 1-1 with their first opportunity; we needed some time to process that. The coach then geed us up again at half-time. We came racing out of the blocks and got the goals. The three points are more than deserved."

Florian Grillitsch: "We've picked up three deserved points. After going 3-1 up, there were situations throughout the rest of the game where we could've been more focused, but in our current predicament it's a bit rich to complain about that. We're obviously ecstatic; we earned this victory."

Håvard Nordtveit: "It does us good to get three points on the board again. We've shown in the Europa League what we're capable of – we wanted to show this side of ourselves in the Bundesliga too. We were slightly under pressure and have come through it well. But this was only the beginning; we want to keep getting points now. Next we're off to Leverkusen; that's a tough away game against a top opponent."

Sebastian Hoeness: "This victory should give us a boost. The pressure was on today; we felt it. The way that we dealt with that was good. We deserved to win. What we need to do now is make sure we stabilise ourselves. It's too early to be looking at the table. It's been a tough time recently; now we're hoping that we find our flow. We have three tough tasks coming up in the league – against teams in the upper third. We obviously want to keep picking up points."

Heiko Herrlich (FC Augsburg coach): "We really struggled in the opening stages and fell behind. After making a change, we then gained more control over the game and got the equaliser. We started poorly after the break and lost the match in the space of five minutes. The game was done and dusted after we went 3-1 down, but the team still kept trying. Unfortunately, though, we couldn't manage to pull a goal back. In view of that, it's a fair result."
