UEL round-up: The facts on Matchday 3 in Group L

On the morning after each of TSG's European matches this season, tsg-hoffenheim.de will publish a round-up with the most important match facts, the press reactions and an overview of the group.

The match facts:

TSG Hoffenheim dominated this weakened Slovan Liberec team with ease. Both the victory and the 5-0 margin were deserved when you consider their superior statistics in terms of shots (24-3) and possession (80%).

By scoring a brace, Munas Dabbur increased his goal tally in the UEFA Europa League to 22. Sargis Adamyan, meanwhile, scored his first two goals in European competition.

The man of the match:

Sargis Adamyan did not play competitively for TSG Hoffenheim for almost nine months. But a week and a half after his comeback against Werder Bremen, the Armenian scored for the first time since his return. The 27-year-old netted two goals within five minutes against the Czechs – his first two goals in European competition.

The quote of the evening:

Florian Grillitsch: "It was a super game from us. We didn't budge an inch. But you have to factor in Liberec's personnel situation as well. We've pushed the door to the knockout stages wide open and now we don't want to let that get away from us. Our goal is to now be successful in the Bundesliga too."

Press reactions:

"European stroll" Rhein-Neckar-Zeitung

"A Hoffenheim gala" Mannheimer Morgen

"TSG on track in Group L" Heilbronner Stimme

"Hungry for goals" Badische Neueste Nachrichten

Group L at a glance:

Red Star Belgrade beat KAA Gent 2-1 in the other game in Group L. That victory saw the Serbians, who now have six points on the board, cement themselves in second place. Slovan Liberec sit behind them in third place, while pointless Gent are bottom. TSG, meanwhile, top the group after extending their perfect start with a third win in as many games and will prematurely seal their place in the knockout stages with a draw in the next match in Liberec on 26 November.
