Sessegnon: "It's frustrating"

Here's what the players and coach had to say after the 3-3 draw against VfB Stuttgart.

Oliver Baumann: "The prevailing feeling today is frustration. One good half is simply not enough. We didn't have enough control over the game in the first 45 minutes. We improved in the second period and even managed to take the lead. We didn't see it through after that. It can serve as a good lesson for us for the remainder of the season. We're conceding goals far too easily. It's difficult to win a match when you concede three goals."

Ryan Sessegnon: "It was obviously a great feeling to score my first Bundesliga goal. But unfortunately it wasn't enough today, even though we were in a good position once again. It's frustrating; we need to put an end to this. The result is disappointing but we won't give up. We need to analyse it – and then improve."

Christoph Baumgartner: "I would've obviously preferred not to score a goal if it meant winning the game instead. If you end up with only one point, it really hurts. It happens to us too often that we have two completely contrasting performances in the two halves. We didn't show enough presence in the challenges and weren't courageous enough in possession in the first half. The second half was very good; we put the opponent under pressure and created a lot of chances. So it's a bitter feeling to concede the equaliser at the end. I'm not one to look for excuses. Despite the absences, we had enough quality on the pitch to win a Bundesliga match. We were very, very close to winning. The fact that we fell short today cannot be attributed to the absence of a few of the lads."

Sebastian Hoeness: "The way we performed in the second half makes me proud. That should in no way be taken for granted. But I'm obviously frustrated we conceded the late equaliser. The 3-3 was a killer for us. But we'll put it behind us. We showed a superb reaction in the second 45 minutes; in my opinion, we would've deserved the win. The team has coped well with the general situation. That shouldn't be taken for granted given the past few days and weeks."
