Kevin Vogt also tests positive

The list of Coronavirus cases at Bundesliga club TSG Hoffenheim continues to grow. Tests carried out at the club on Wednesday evening returned a positive result for defensive player Kevin Vogt. Vogt's test result on the previous day was inconclusive.

Sebastian Rudy, Ishak Belfodil and a member of the coaching staff all received positive test results on Wednesday. TSG Hoffenheim already had two new Coronavirus cases to report on Tuesday: Robert Skov (Denmark) and Munas Dabbur (Israel) tested positive while away with their national teams and are now in quarantine. The same is true of Jacob Bruun Larsen and a member of the support team, who both went into isolation before last weekend. All training sessions this week have been cancelled for safety reasons.

"We can't explain the cluster," says TSG director of football Alexander Rosen. "We have been meticulously and diligently adhering to the hygiene concept for months. We had been able to avoid registering a single positive case for many months, but now the pandemic is hitting us hard.'' TSG are in close contact with all players currently on international duty as well as with the relevant health authorities.

After the last international break in October, Andrej Kramarić (Croatia) and Kasim Adams (Ghana) tested positive after returning from their national teams. Pavel Kadeřábek was forced to go into quarantine after a positive case in his family circle. All three players have since been able to return to team training.
