Grillitsch: "I'm very proud of the team"

Here's what the players and Sebastian Hoeness had to say after TSG Hoffenheim's historic 4-1 victory away to KAA Gent in the Europa League.

Oliver Baumann: "It's really great to perform like that away from home. We briefly put ourselves in danger with the penalty we conceded, but we were totally in the game after that and gave nothing away. There were spells where our play and build-up  from back to front  were brilliant. From the defence to scoring a goal without an opponent touching the ball. That was very, very good. We were not quite so dominant towards the end. The goal we conceded annoys me obviously. But what can you do? All in all, it was a very mature performance; we didn't give away much. We can dominate our group; we've played two very good games. I'm very proud of the lads and the start we've made. But we still need to keep our feet on the ground. If we keep going like this, we can be very successful this year."

Florian Grillitsch: "I'm very proud of the team. After the penalty for Gent, which Oli did very well to save, it was a highly-deserved win. We were a little bit exhausted by the end and that's how Gent managed to have a few chances. The coach set us up well. We know what we're capable of and performed brilliantly. The victory naturally gives us self-belief. We're up again on Monday. We want to recover until then and then pick up the next victory."

Sebastian Hoeness: "I'm proud of the team. We actually had a good foothold in the game at the start, then conceded the penalty and remained in the game thanks to Oli's save. After that we achieved what we'd set out to  applying constant pressure. In the end, we were clear and deserved victors. We now have six points; that's a good position to work from. We want to reach the next round and we need wins and points to do that. And we got another three points on the board today. Now we go forward; it's one game after another. The victory should give us encouragement and self-belief. We must always be aware of what makes us strong and consistently put it into practice: we're currently working well as unit off the ball, showing a high level of aggression, proving effective in the final third, creating a number of chances and, in the case of today, scoring four goals. We'll take that."
