Fond memories of facing BVB

Borussia Dortmund have been welcome guests in Sinsheim over the course of recent years. TSG Hoffenheim will be aiming to continue their positive run of results on Saturday (15:30 CET/Live Ticker at tsg-hoffenheim.de) when they welcome BVB to the PreZero Arena. tsg-hoffenheim.de has all the important facts and figures you need to know ahead of #TSGBVB.

Did you know that…

…Dortmund tend not to enjoy their meetings with TSG?

4-0, 2-1, 3-3, 1-1 and 3-1 – Hoffenheim's recent results against Dortmund have been impressive, with TSG unbeaten in their last five meetings. It is BVB's longest winless run against any current Bundesliga club.

…Hoffenheim have a strong record against BVB on home turf?

Borussia have played against TSG in Sinsheim 12 times. Hoffenheim have won five of those meetings, while Dortmund have triumphed only twice. The other five clashes have ended in stalemate. TSG's last defeat came almost eight years ago when they were beaten 3-1 by the Black & Yellows on 16 December 2012.

…duels with Dortmund have been highly significant moments in TSG's history?

Two late goals from Sejad Salihović helped Hoffenheim avoid direct relegation to the Bundesliga 2 in 2013, with the Kraichgau club subsequently beating the drop in the play-offs against Kaiserslautern. TSG then reached the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history by beating BVB 3-1 in 2018, and won 4-0 in Dortmund in June this year with Andrej Kramarić becoming the first Hoffenheim player to score four goals in a Bundesliga game to reach the UEFA Europa League group phase.

…Andrej Kramarić particularly likes facing Dortmund?

The Croat has seven Bundesliga goals against BVB. It is his best goalscoring return against any club in the top flight of German football. The four goals he scored on Matchday 34 last season will live especially long in the memory.

…our record goalscorer is currently topping the league scoring charts?

With six goals this season, Andrej Kramarić tops the Bundesliga goalscoring charts – and the penalty rankings (2, tied with Robert Lewandowski) – after three rounds of matches. In addition, he has had the second-most shots (17) behind Bayern frontman Lewandowski (18).

…no team has struck the woodwork more often than TSG this term?

Hoffenheim have been denied by the post or bar 10 times this season – the most of any club in the division.
