16 May 2009: TSG 2-2 Bayern Munich: the first point
In their very first Bundesliga season, TSG Hoffenheim achieved something that other clubs have waited years for: taking a point off Bayern Munich. On Matchday 33, the teams played out a 2-2 draw. Thus TSG played a decisive role in the title race, putting Bayern two points behind subsequent champions VfL Wolfsburg one game before the end of the season.
29 March 2014: Bayern Munich 3-3 TSG: the breath-taking comeback
Although TSG achieved two more draws in the following years, the 3-3 in March 2014 still lives on in the memory of many TSG fans. Anthony Modeste initially gave Hoffenheim the lead, but Bayern turned the match around within ten minutes to lead 3-1. Sejad Salihović struck before Roberto Firmino scored a late equaliser to earn Hoffenheim a much-celebrated point at the Allianz Arena.
04 April 2017: TSG 1-0 Bayern Munich: the first victory
Who but Andrej Kramarić would be responsible for the first Hoffenheim victory in the Bundesliga against Bayern Munich? TSG's record goalscorer scored the goal of the day in a 1-0 victory in April 2017. The season will be remembered not only for the first victory over Bayern, but also the club's first qualification for the Champions League.
09 September 2017: TSG 2-0 Bayern Munich: Uth at the double
In the very next battle against Bayern and less than half a year later, TSG repeated the trick: On 9 September, Mark Uth became a club hero. The attacker scored both goals in the 2-0 win. A particular highlight of the game was the opening goal, which was made possible by a quick throw-in by Andrej Kramarić and the help of an alert ball boy.
05 October 2019: Bayern Munich 1-2 TSG: the first away win
Sargis Adamyan will probably never forget the 5th of October 2019. With no lesser opponent than Bayern Munich, the Armenian celebrated his debut in the starting lineup in the Bundesliga and became the hero of the day: the striker initially scored the opener and then responded to Robert Lewandowski's equaliser to score the winner in the 79th minute. It was Hoffenheim's first win away at Bayern Munich – and was even achieved during the Oktoberfest.
