All the best, Ermin!

A sad piece of news for Ermin Bičakčić and TSG Hoffenheim. An arthroscopy of the right knee joint today revealed that the TSG defender has suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament as well as a torn inner meniscus.

"This is incredibly sad," says TSG Director of Professional Football Alexander Rosen. "Ermin was in excellent shape recently and has been an absolute role model for everyone since his first day at TSG in terms of motivation, mentality and professionalism. We will support Ermin in his upcoming challenges and we will of course give him everything he needs to be able to get back on the pitch as soon as possible."

The 30-year-old defender was substituted in the 39th minute of the 4-1 win over Bayern Munich after an unfortunate twist in his knee. He had previously scored the opening goal on the 15-minute mark. Bičakčić has been with TSG since the summer of 2014, making him one of the longest-serving players in the current Bundesliga squad, and has since become a crowd favourite.
