"Kicker" ranking list: Posch & Baumann in "Players of note" category
Stefan Posch and Oliver Baumann have been rewarded by "kicker" for their strong performances since the winter break last season: the Hoffenheim duo have been listed by the sports magazine among the best players in the second half of the 2019/20 Bundesliga season. Both players made the "Players of note" category in the German Football Ranking List.
"Kicker" wrote the following of Oliver Baumann, who ranked ninth in the list of goalkeepers. "Improved compared to first half-season and no errors. In footballing terms, the Hoffenheim man has taken another step forward."
The magazine justified Stefan Posch's 15th place on the list of central defenders as follows: "The Hoffenheim player has had his most stable half-season to date, put a stop to unnecessary mistakes and was a constant for TSG."
Borković strengthens "Hoffe Zwo"
Another new signing for the U23s: central defender Alexandar Borković has joined TSG from Austria Vienna. The 21-year-old Austrian has already made 40 appearances in the Austrian Bundesliga and featured in the Europa League on three occasions. At international level, he has represented his country at U21 level twice. Having passed his medical examination, he has now signed a long-term deal in the Kraichgau.
