Dabbur: "We always believed we could"

Here's what the players and coaches said after the 3-1 win at FC Augsburg.

Benjamin Hübner: "The table situation is relatively interesting. We're in a good position in the table that we at least want to maintain. We'll fight until the end to improve our position further."

Munas Dabbur: "We were ready from the beginning. We had lots of opportunities to score. We always believed that we could – and we managed it too eventually. I'm obviously very happy about my two goals but the most important thing is that by scoring I was able to help the team to achieve its objectives. We obviously want to defend seventh place, but perhaps we might even be able to move up to sixth place. We have good and positive energy in the team; we feel good on the pitch. We'll continue to work this way."

Diadie Samassékou: "It was a good performance from us. The win was very important in order to achieve our goals. We showed character and we'll take this attitude into our final two matches of the season too."

Alexander Rosen: "We saw a match that was very even in the first half. Augsburg had more shooting chances but they didn't always execute their opportunities well. There were too many simple losses of possession from us and we got hit on the counter-attack. We were able to really build pressure with the brace in the second half. Yet things began to look dangerous again after it went to 2-1. There was obviously a huge relief once it went to 3-1."

Heiko Herrlich (FC Augsburg coach): "We started the game well and played a good first half. We defended Hoffenheim very well and had our chances. It wasn't quite enough from us in the second period. As a result, Hoffenheim improved and scored two goals. After we pulled a goal back, there was a period when I had the feeling we were back in it. Instead, we went 3-1 down at the end. Ultimately, the three points for Hoffenheim are deserved."
