Baumann: "We showed a great mentality."

Håvard Nordtveit: "That was a long fight. We knew it wouldn't be easy to get a point in Gladbach. But we showed a great mentality. Looking at the second half, we deserved to come away with a point. Gladbach had their chances, but we stuck to our plan. We were a lot better defensively in the second half. Lucas Ribeiro is a class player. He did a great job after he was brought into the game, as he did in the cup against Bayern. He always works hard and deserved his goal." 

Oliver Baumann: "There was a lot going on today. Both teams played outstanding football. We had to soak up some waves of pressure from the Gladbach attack. I'm glad I was able to keep the team in the game with the penalty save. We had a lot to do. Then Lucas Ribeiro got us the reward we deserved for our work and our courage towards the end. It was great in the end."

Alfred Schreuder: "I have to say one thing: the banners about Mr Hopp are just not acceptable. Great compliment to Max Eberl on how he tried to get rid of them, and it worked well. We had a minute's silence before the game and then things like that happen. We all have to treat each other with respect. I said to Sebastian Rudy that if the banner wasn't taken down, we would all go home and they should have the three points. But how we, Eberl and the Gladbach team responded was excellent. Looking at the game, we deserved a point. Gladbach are doing very well in the table, and they have also played in the Champions League, but today Hoffenheim played very well and showed great courage. If we go 0-2 down, it's going to be hard. We played very well against a top team. The team are getting better, we are on the right track."

Marco Rose (Borussia Mönchengladbach head coach): "We saw two good teams playing for the win today. Both had good periods with the ball, but both were also careless sometimes. Overall, it was an even game, but we had the clearer chances and would have liked to have gone 2-0 up – then the game would have been over. We didn't manage it and then a game like that ends in a draw."
