The top 5 TSG moments of 2019

2019 was another fantastic year for TSG Hoffeheim. Here achtzehn99.de gives you a run-down of five of the most memorable moments.

Moment 5: 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund

What perfect way to bring 2019 to a close: on Matchday 17, Alfred Schreuder's side triumphed 2-1 over Borussia Dortmund and in doing so secured a seventh-place spot in the league table over the winter break. TSG have managed to pick up three more points than they did at the same point last season. Man of the match was Sargis Adamyan: the Armenian scored the equalising goal and set up the match-winner. It was the perfect way for the summer signing to round off a successful first half-season in the Bundesliga - three of his four goals in the league have been scored against Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Moment 4: Kramarić becomes TSG's record goalscorer in the Bundesliga

TSG's 4-1 win over Bayer 04 Leverkusen was one for the history books: Andrej Kramarić's goal saw him move past Sejad Salihovic in the club's all-time Bundesliga goalscorers list. The Croatian striker is also Hoffenheim's top scorer in the current Bundesliga campaign.

Moment 3: 2-1 victory over 1. FC Cologne

The clock read 98 minutes as Jürgen Locadia found the back of the net from the penalty spot to give TSG a 2-1 away win over 1. FC Cologne. The stoppage time winner wrapped up a sixth consecutive victory for Hoffenheim - a new club record.

Moment 2: stunning comeback secures 3-3 draw in Dortmund

Back in February, only the most optimistic of TSG fans believed there was any way back for the men in blue when Dortmund led 3-0 in the 66th minute. However, up stepped Ishak Belfodil (2 goals) and Pavel Kadeřábek to fire Hoffenheim to a spectacular come-from-behind draw.

Moment 1: first-ever away win against Bayern Munich

TSG travelled to play Bayern Munich having never won in the Allianz Arena. That all changed on 5 October. Sargis Adamyan, named in the starting line-up for the first time, will tell his grandchildren about this day. The Armenian found the back of the net for the first time in the Bundesliga and then, not long afterwards, provided the assist for the match-winning goal. TSG celebrated Oktoberfest with a first-ever away win over the German record league title holders.
