TSG HOFFENHEIM in partnership with UPPER-AUSTRIA

TSG Hoffenheim has extended its partnership with the Upper-Austrian tourist board, with the two organisations continuing their association until 30 June 2020. For the third year in a row, the Bundesliga club has chosen Windischgarsten in the Pyhrn-Priel tourism region as the destination for its summer training camp, which will be held from 18 to 26 July. In addition to the presence of the TSG squad at the aforementioned training camp, the partnership will also involve mutual promotional activity which will be distributed across the club’s various media channels.

TGG Hoffenheim set up base in the Pyhrn-Priel tourism region in both the 2017 and 2018 off-seasons. On both occasions, the Austrian agency Global Sports ensured that conditions were ideally set up for a successful training camp. ''The conditions in Windischgarsten are absolutely perfect for the preparation of a fruitful season. The incredibly beautiful alpine scenery makes even the most gruelling fitness training more or less bearable,'' said TSG managing director Dr. Peter Görlich with a smile.

''We’re really looking forward to receiving our guests from Hoffenheim, and we can guarantee that the team, the staff and the fans will enjoy the very best training and tourism conditions here in our beautiful mountains. Over the past few years, a genuine sporting friendship has developed, and that’s something we’re very grateful for,’’ says Marie-Louise Schnurpfeil, managing director of the Pyhrn-Priel tourism board.

Pyhrn-Priel, which extends around the main town of Windischgarsten, is located approximately 500 km from Hoffenheim, with the region easily accessible via the German A3 Autobahn and the Austrian A8/A9 Autobahn.

One of the defining features of Pyhrn-Priel is the large range of sporting activities which it has to offer, regardless of whether one visits in summer or in winter. Two years ago, pictures of the TSG team enjoying a spot of rock climbing proved a hit on social media. Rock climbing is certainly an option for those who are feeling particularly brave, but the Pyhrn-Priel region has something to offer for everyone – whether it be those who enjoy a peaceful walk on picturesque trails or those who prefer a spot of swimming in the many stunning lakes. With so much to choose from, it’s no wonder that so many families come to Pyhrn-Priel to savour the joys of nature and revel in the countless leisure activities which can be enjoyed.
