TSG Hoffenheim launches Fan Council

TSG Hoffenheim on Tuesday evening launched its Fan Council by holding an inaugural meeting at the PreZero Arena. Among the representatives on the body are Dr. Peter Görlich, who as the responsible managing director for the Fan Department presides over the committee, and Frank Briel, who in his role as managing director is responsible for the Security and Stadium Departments. In the future, the Fan Council will work alongside the Fan Department to facilitate dialogue between the organised supporters of the senior side.

The Fan Council represents the interests of all TSG Hoffenheim fans and consists of elected and ex officio members. The latter come from the board of the fan association "Supporters Hoffenheim" (2); they are joined by the lead singer and four members of the active groups. In addition, there is a representative for handicapped fans and a representative for fan projects. The official TSG Hoffenheim fan clubs have been handed nine places. The elections to this end already took place on 13 March. A legislative term on the Fan Council lasts for two years, while the body meets four times a year.

"We're delighted about the establishment of a Fan Council, which we promise will result in an even more intense exchange with our fan scene," said Dr. Peter Görlich. "As well as continuous dialogue, the Council provides us with the opportunity to set focal points and to work together on fan issues related to TSG," added Frank Briel.

Carsten Lindwurm, the Head of the TSG Fan Department, added: "We believe that the new body offers the chance to help the fan scene to continue to grow together with its different stakeholders and that the relevant issues within the club will continue to gain significance."

The Fan Department will issue invitations to the second meeting of the Fan Council in mid-May.
