Belfodil: "We're very happy"

Here are the reactions from the players and both coaches after the 3-0 win over Hannover.

Kevin Vogt: "We were at our very best in the opening 20 minutes and then in the second half too. It was really outstanding and we showed what a good footballing side we are. We gave all the spectators a wonderful performance, scored three goals and hit the woodwork on three occasions too. A 3-0 win over a Bundesliga team is a super result, so we're heading home in a good mood.

Nico Schulz: "It was important for us to show the correct mentality out there. It's clear that we can play football. We're very satisfied with the way that we played today. We could've scored even more goals but we'll happily take the three we did get."

Ishak Belfodil: "We're very happy. We really wanted to follow up the draw in Dortmund with a victory. The team played very well, even though we could've scored more goals. It took a little while before the referee gave my goal, because he was reviewing whether it was offside. That obviously means you have to wait longer before you can celebrate properly. But that's okay, he subsequently gave the goal and it was important for us that we'd got a second."

Julian Nagelsmann: "We made a bright start to the game. After taking the lead, we continued to dominate until the 20th minute and could've scored even more goals. But Hannover subsequently got a slightly better foothold in the game. We then came out for the second half and showed that Hannover weren't going to get any kind of result here. The chances we missed aren't such a weight on our shoulders today. I was incredibly content with the way that we defended."

Thomas Doll (Hannover 96 coach): "Congratulations to Hoffenheim on a highly-deserved victory. 3-0 was almost not enough. For me as a coach, it's not a nice situation. I'd thought we were better than that. It was a nothing performance. We didn't get stuck into the challenges at all. I expect more courage from my team. We got lucky that we only conceded three goals."
