Baumann: "It was extraordinary"

What the players and managers said after the intense 3-3 (0-2) away draw at Borussia Dortmund.

Oliver Baumann: "It was an extraordinary second half. I'm delighted and very proud that we managed to show such character again. We just wanted to press earlier in the second half. We tackled better and had more aggression on the pitch. Getting a point here is really, really good of course. It was a great game in the second half and we showed that we could actually hold our own. We need to back that up in the coming weeks. We need to focus on ourselves and not on anything else."

Ermin Bicakcic: "It was a hard-fought match, especially in the second half. We showed a lot of spirit, both individually and as a team. There was a lot of character and and plenty of emotion out on the pitch. You've got to keep on believing, even if it's really difficult to do so when you're 3-0 down against Dortmund. Then we battled for the point and got our rewards for all the effort and the fight we showed. It's a fantastic feeling."

Florian Grillitsch: "You've seen today that you should never give up and always believe in yourself."

Stefan Posch: "We didn't get into the game at all in the first half. We were much too passive. In the second half, we put more emotion into the match and created lots of chances for ourselves. We gave the BVB offensive line too much space in the first half in particular. I hope that the point gives us some impetus."

Pavel Kaderabek: "To draw 3-3 after being 3-0 down is not something I've ever experienced. We slept through the first half. We were the better team in the second half. We said to ourselves during the break that we didn't have anything to lose anymore. We simply played with more courage then and pressed earlier. If we stand deep and wait for the opponent to act as we did before making a change, then it doesn't work as well."

Julian Nagelsmann: "I was very satisfied with the first few minutes of the game. We started the match well and had good chances on the break. After that there was a small break in our game which had a lot to do with the quality of our opponent. It was logical, then, that we were soon 2-0 behind. In the second half we made a change and defended high up the pitch. Our opposition got their third just as we were exerting our longest spell of pressure on them. Normally that's game over. If you look at the second half, I think that we are well worth the draw. We had chances to score several goals."

Edin Terzic (co-trainer at Borussia Dortmund): "I can only agree with Julian. The second half was a very bitter experience for us. Everything went very well in the first half. Jadon Sancho played excellently. We knew that Hoffenheim are always strong in the second half. Our opponent got back into the match because we kept losing the ball. It is of course very hard to take after being 3-0 up to draw 3-3. Congratulations to TSG Hoffenheim."
