"Frankfurt are very dangerous"

Coach Julian Nagelsmann spoke at the press conference ahead of the Bundesliga home game against Eintracht Frankfurt (Sunday, 15:30 CET/Live Ticker on achtzehn99.de) about the opposition, the Manchester City match and the personnel situation.

Julian Nagelsmann on…

…the personnel situation: "I hope that there'll be some change to the personnel situation. Steven Zuber and Nico Schulz are both doing better but there are doubts hanging over both of them. As for Kevin Vogt, we need to wait and see whether he can train today. Havard Nordtveit and Kasim Adams are back in team training. In Dennis Geiger's case, we don't want to take any risks. We'll wait for the day when he's symptom-free. The plan is for him to return to training next week."

…the opposition: "Frankfurt began very well against Lazio but subsequently got slightly lucky and took the lead out of the blue. From a scouting perspective, the match was over after the sending-offs. They haven't made such a good start in the league but they're now taking a step in the right direction."

…the match on Sunday: "When two clubs are based in close proximity, it's always an intense match. Frankfurt still mark man-to-man in defence and are very dangerous, even though Nico Kovac is no longer there. Given the our close geographical locations and table positions, it won't be boring."

…Frankfurt's Adi Hütter: "I've known Adi Hütter for a long time. He's been very successful at each club he's coached and did a very good job in Bern. I'm delighted that he's come to the Bundesliga and I'm looking forward to seeing him on Sunday."

…the Manchester City match: "Manchester City were a few percent better but they didn't play us off the park. It annoyed me that we didn't win the game or get a point."

Head-to-head record:

Hoffenheim have the superior head-to-head record, with eight wins, seven draws and only three defeats against Eintracht Frankfurt. TSG have not lost any of their last six meetings.

The opposition's form:

Eintracht Frankfurt are joint-11th alongside TSG in the Bundesliga table, with the same amount of points and goals from the first seven rounds of matches. They have beaten Hannover 96 (Bundesliga) and Lazio (Europa League) by 4-1 scorelines in their last two games.
