TSG win 3-1 at Hannover

TSG Hoffenheim have claimed a 3-1 (1-0) away victory at Hannover 96, with Joshua Brenet, Pavel Kaderabek and Ishak Belfodil scoring the goals for the visitors.

Personnel and tactics

TSG Hoffenheim made five changes for their clash with Hannover 96 in Lower Saxony. Gregor Kobel replaced Oliver Baumann between the sticks, while Kevin Akpoguma returned to the starting XI to play in a back three alongside Kevin Vogt and Ermin Bicakcic (in place of Stefan Posch). First-choice left-back Nico Schulz was rested, with Pavel Kaderabek taking his place from the start and Joshua Brenet moving across to the right flank.

Florian Grillitsch and Leonardo Bittencourt kept their places in the middle of the park, while Reiss Nelson made his first start for the club in place of Steven Zuber. Up front, Joelinton played in a strike partnership with Adam Szalai as Andrej Kramaric dropped to the bench.

Steven Zuber came on to replace Reiss Nelson in the second period. Later on in the match there were two further changes, with Andrej Kramaric and Ishak Belfodil replacing Leonardo Bittencourt and Joelinton respectively.

Moment of the match

The 17th minute. Bebou was lurking at the back post with the goal at his mercy, but Bicakcic threw himself into the path of the shot and stopped Hannover from almost certainly opening the scoring.
