TSG against Manchester City on Sky

There's always something happening at TSG – whether it's on or off the pitch. In our "Box-to-box" series, we bring you exciting and interesting stories from the first team, the U23s, the academy and the women's team.

Friday

TSG Hoffenheim's home game in the group phase of the UEFA Champions League against Manchester City (Tuesday, 2 October/18.55 CET) will be broadcasted live in Germany on pay TY sender Sky. Hoffenheim's other group phase fixtures will be broadcasted via the streaming service DAZN.

Bad news for the women's team: Katharina Naschenweng tore her anterior cruciate ligament in training last Thursday and is now set for a long spell on the sidelines. The Austria international will soon undergo an operation by a specialist in Innsbruck and her rehab will subsequently be supervised by TSG. The 20-year-old had only joined the club from Sturm Graz in the summer, playing the full 90 minutes in the U20s' opening match against FSV Hessen Wetzlar. "Kathi has given a good account of herself in the past few weeks," said Ralf Zwanziger, the Head of Women's Football at Hoffenheim. "The serious injury is a real blow to us, even though we know that our new signing will fight her way back with great ambition and discipline. In this process, she'll receive the best-possible support."

Kevin Vogt in running training

Kevin Vogt is back in action! The TSG Hoffenheim captain bruised his right thigh in a collision during the opening match of the Bundesliga season against Bayern Munich, which ended in a 3-1 defeat, and had to be substituted. Only a few days after that game, on Monday morning, the central defender took part in a running session with rehab coach Otmar Rösch and appeared to be optimistic that he would make a quick recovery from the injury.
