Season opener 2018 presented by WIRSOL

It will all get underway on 11 August at 11:30 CET with the supporting programme in the VIP 1 car park in front of the arena, and after that, the beer garden will open its gates. Attractions for all ages will be available, from football darts to face painting, from bouncy castles to TSG Academy football badge awards. Food and drink will also be taken care of by various food stalls.

The arena will open at 14:30 CET and similar to the Bundesliga schedule, TSG's senior squad match against the Spanish top-flighters SD Eibar will start one hour later. For manager Julian Nagelsmann's team, it will be the final endurance test, before the DFB Cup tie against 1. FC Kaiserslautern (Sa 18 August at 15:30 CET) in their first competitive match. The Spanish opponent who will visit the WIRSOL Rhein-Neckar-Arena has been playing in the Primera Division and has endured a similar journey to TSG, marching through the leagues, from the third league into the top-flight. That is not the only common ground that the two teams share, Eibar is also the smallest place to ever play in the top league, in their country. Last season, the Basque side achieved a respectable ninth place in La Liga.

It doesn't all just end at the final whistle. From 18:00 CET, the senior squad and the training staff, led by Julian Nagelsmann, will be signing autographs around the stadium. For an entire hour, the hearts of all the TSG fans will be beating significantly faster!

The friendly match against SD Eibar at the season opener of 2018 presented by WIRSOL is once again included as part of the season ticket. All standard season ticket holders will be able to obtain a separate ticket (season opener 2019/2019) and for electronic season ticket holders, the ticket will be automatically updated onto your smartcard (plastic card).

The following prices will be applicable to all other fans. For categories 1A and 1B, tickets will cost 10 EUR and for categories 2A, 2B and the family section, tickets will cost 7 EUR.
