Ready for the first friendly

TSG Hoffenheim are preparing to round off their training camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen with a friendly – their first of pre-season – against SpVgg Unterhaching. Kick-off at the SC Pöcking-Possenhoffen complex this Friday will be 17:00 CET.

The TSG Hoffenheim players have had a varied agenda this week. Following some intense training sessions at their training camp in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and a rafting tour on Thursday, they face their first friendly of the 2018/19 season this Friday (17:00 CET). The opposition will be third-division side SpVgg Unterhaching.

For almost a fortnight now, Julian Nagelsmann's team have been preparing for the upcoming season and their debut appearance in the #ChampionsLeague. The TSG coaching staff have announced their intention to give as many players as possible playing time in the match against SpVgg Unterhaching.

Debut for the new signings

For the new signings, the Unterhaching clash will be their debut appearance in a TSG shirt. Joshua Brenet, who joined from PSV Eindhoven in the summer, is looking forward to the friendly and is one of several new signings looking to impress their new club. "I want to become as important as I can for the team," he said.

Unterhaching have been playing in the third tier since last season. Under coach Claus Schromm, the newly-promoted club established themselves in the third division and finished in ninth place.

The friendly will kick off at 17:00 CET at the SC Pöcking-Possenhofen sports complex (Keltenstraße 4, 82343 Pöcking). Entry for adults costs €10, while for kids under 14 it's free. Tickets will be available from the box office.
