TSG win season finale to secure UCL football!
Personnel and tactics:
In TSG’s final match of the season, Julian Nagelsmann chose the following eleven players to face BVB: Oliver Baumann, Pavel Kaderabek, Ermin Bicakcic, Florian Grillitsch, Nico Schulz, Steven Zuber, Mark Uth, Kevin Vogt, Kevin Akpoguma, Andrej Kramaric and Adam Szalai. The head coach made the changes to the team that lined up against VfB Stuttgart last week, as the injured Lukas Rupp and Havard Nordtveit were replaced by Ermin Bicakcic and Adam Szalai. The one other change saw Pavel Kaderabek in for Nadiem Amiri.
Ahead of goalkeeper Baumann was a back-three of Vogt, Bicakcic and Akpoguma, while Kaderabek and Schulz operated on the flanks. Grillitsch and Zuber patrolled the centre of midfield, with a front-three of Kramaric, Szalai and Uth.
Nagelsmann made his first substitution in the 64th minute, shortly after the goal to make it 2-1 - Steven Zuber came off for Nadiem Amiri. In the 79th minute, Andrej Kramaric was forced off with an injury and Eugen Polanski was brought on in his place. Two minutes before full time, Robin Hack replaced Mark Uth, who was cheered off by the home fans.
