#TSGH96 Match Reaction: "An evening of hard work!"

We spoke to the players and the coaches after the 3-1 win against Hannover 96 on Friday evening.

Julian Nagelsmann: "It was a very evenly matched game, but we definitely got off to the better start. After that we started to slack off a bit and left too many big gaps. We were dominant after the break but could have taken some of our chances better. The difference today was that we managed to convert three goals whilst our opponents scored one, but the result does not reflect the match as a whole. Hannover played very well. They moved the ball around nicely and put us under a lot of pressure. The win is not fully deserved, but not undeserved either. We are worried about Gnabry and whether he will be able to continue this season. Demirbay is not looking good either.

Andre Breitenreiter (Hannover 96 head coach): Congratulations to Julian and his team for the victory tonight. I think we watched a very even game - I didn't expect that at all. TSG are in an outstanding run of form, but I think we played well against them. We packed out our midfield and tried to play the ball wide as often as possible. We defended well for the majority of the match. We improved as the game went on, but we did not make the most of our chances which led to us losing. It is a shame that we were not able to pick up any points.

Pavel Kaderabek: We did not play at our best today, but we managed to pick up three points so we have to be happy with our performance overall. We played very well in the opening ten minutes, but then we dropped off slightly. I am upset that I will not be able to help the team next week after picking up my 5th yellow card.

Havard Nordtveit: That was hard work. We started well, but then we left Hannover too much space after we took the lead and they made things difficult right up until half-time. We started to play better after the break. The most important thing is that we have the three points. Now we can relax a little over the weekend. We are taking each game as it comes. Next week's game against Stuttgart will be an intense derby, and we will want to take the three points home to Sinsheim. Andrej is a top goalscorer who proved exactly what he is capable of today.

Nico Schulz: We played a difficult game against a tough opponent this evening. We did not implement our game plan like we intended to, but at the end of the day, we still managed to secure the three points. Andrej did great to score a hattrick today, but it does not matter who scores. Serge has been scoring a lot recently, tonight it was Andrej. We are pleased with the win and will be observing tomorrow's results carefully. We want to maintain this run of form to achieve the best possible finish at the end of the season.
