TSG remain undefeated after draw with TSG

TSG have set a new club record by going eleven consecutive Bundesliga games without defeat. Despite the achievement, they were forced to settle for a point in their match with HSV, as the two teams played out a tense 2-2 draw. Sandro Wagner and Steven Zuber were on the scoresheet for the hosts, whlie Filip Kostic and Nikolai Müller got the goals for HSV

Personnel & Tactics:

TSG’s last league game fell before the international break. Despite that, Julian Nagelsmann named an unchanged side from the one that drew against Bayern Munich. Oliver Baumann started in goal behind the three-man back line of Kevin Vogt, Niklas Süle and Benjamin Hübner. Sebastian Rudy, Nadim Amiri and Kerem Demirbay made up the midfield, with Pavel Kaderabek and Steven Zuber on the wings. Andrej Kramaric and Sandro Wagner started up front.

The back three underwent an early chance. Volgt left the pitch with an Adductor issue after 21 minutes, and was replaced by Ermin Bicakcic. Süle sat in the middle, with Bicakcic taking up a position on the right side. TSG's second change came in the 69th minute, with Lukas Rupp coming on for Dermbay. Ten minutes before time, birthday boy Eduardo Vargas was brought on for Kramaric. 

Moment of the match:

TSG began both halves with speed and energy, putting HSV on the back foot. The difference between them was that in the second, they managed to take full advantage oft hat and tun their dominance into a goal. Kaderabek’s precise ball in found Zuber, who managed to convert. A game of fine margins.

Although the desire for a home win was unfulfilled, TSG did manage to set a new club record for consecutive games unbeaten in the Bundesliga. Only TSG and RB Leipzig are yet to lose a game in the Bundesliga this season.
